PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an angle detector suitable for correcting the error included in the angle information output from a multipolar angle detector, and provide a motor, torque sensor, electrically-driven power steering device, and automobile including the angle detector.SOLUTION: A multiplication circuit 12 performs processes of: generating digital electric angle information (θed) from analog angle information output from a multipolar optical encoder 11; differentiating the electric angle θed with a first differentiator 30 to calculate an electric angular velocity ωed; and correcting the discontinuity of the time change of the electric angular velocity ωed with a first discontinuity correction circuit 31. The multiplication circuit 12 then performs a correction process of reducing, with a digital filter 32, the high-frequency noise component of the electric angular velocity ωedc passing through the first discontinuity correction circuit 31.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
