PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid electric vehicle system capable of increasing situation in which a vehicle can travel in a safe mode.SOLUTION: A hybrid electric vehicle system including an engine 10; a MG1; and a MG2 directly coupled to a driving shaft 14 of a vehicle, and enabling both vehicle travel by the engine 10 and the MG1 and vehicle travel by the MG2, comprises: an HVCPU 21 comprehensively controlling power of the engine 10, the MG1, and the MG2 in response to a torque command value based on a driver's accelerator manipulation; and a MG2CPU 31 connected to the HVCPU 21 via a communication line and controlling the MG2 to be driven on the basis of a control command from the HVCPU 21. The MG2CPU 31 includes an input portion 31a to which accelerator manipulation information is input without via the HVCPU 21; and second safe-mode-travel means driving the MG2 on the basis of the accelerator manipulation information input to the input portion 31a to execute a vehicle safe mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】退避走行できる状況を増やすことが可能なハイブリッド車両システムを提供する。【解決手段】エンジン10と、MG1と、車両の駆動軸14に直結されたMG2とを備え、エンジン10及びMG1による車両走行と、MG2による車両走行とをそれぞれ可能とするハイブリッド車両システムであって、ドライバによるアクセル操作に基づくトルク指令値に応じて、エンジン10、MG1及びMG2の動力を統括して制御するHVCPU21と、HVCPU21に通信線を介して接続され、HVCPU21からの制御指令に基づいてMG2の駆動を制御するMG2CPU31と、を備える。MG2CPU31は、アクセル操作情報をHVCPU21を介さずに入力する入力部31aと、MG1を用いた車両走行に関する第1異常が生じた場合に、入力部31aに入力されるアクセル操作情報に基づいてMG2を駆動し、車両の退避走行を実施する第2退避走行手段と、を有する。【選択図】 図1
