PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a worm reduction mechanism for supplying a proper amount of grease to an engagement area between a worm and a worm wheel while preventing oil leakage from between the faces of housings fitted to each other due to oil separation from grease with a secular change.SOLUTION: The reduction mechanism to be grease-lubricated includes a worm 8, a worm wheel 9, and housings 6 and 7 storing them, respectively. In an internal space between a worm wheel outer periphery 9a and a housing inner periphery 7a, an approximately cylindrical partition plate 15 having a waveform cross section is provided. Grease is filled in an inside space 21 of the internal space divided in two by the partition plate 15, and an oil component separated from the grease is guided and reserved into an outside space 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】ウォーム及びウォームホイールの噛み合い部に適正な量のグリースを供給するとともに、経時変化に伴うグリースの離油によるハウジング嵌合面からの油漏れを防止するウォーム減速機構を提供する。【解決手段】ウォーム8、ウォームホイール9、及びそれらを収容するハウジング6,7からなりグリース潤滑される減速機構において、前記ウォームホイール外周9aと前記ハウジング内周7aとの間の内部空間に波形断面を有する略円筒形状の仕切り板15を設け、前記仕切り板15により二分割された内部空間の内側空間21にグリースを封入し、外側空間22にグリースから分離した油分を誘導し貯留する。【選択図】図2
