PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to accurately control the optical axis of a headlight even during acceleration or deceleration.SOLUTION: An ECU 20 detects acceleration of a vehicle 5, calculates a pitch angle of the vehicle 5 on the basis of the detected acceleration using a predetermined computation method using the acceleration. The computation method varies at least depending on whether the vehicle 5 is accelerating or decelerating. The ECU 20 controls a headlight 10 mounted on the vehicle 5 so that an optical axis of the headlight 10 faces a direction in response to the calculated pitch angle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
