PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simulation method by which evaluation close to a result of the durability of a chord member of an actual tire can be obtained compared with a prior art when evaluating the durability of the chord member using a computer, and a simulation device.SOLUTION: When simulating a pneumatic tire, a tire model and a road face model are created, initial tensile stress is imparted to an element of at least a part of a chord reinforcing layer model which is included in the tire model along a longitudinal direction of a chord material, and the deformation analysis of a tire is performed by using the tire model. After that, a value of stress which is received by an evaluation objective element corresponding to the chord material for evaluating the durability of the pneumatic tire, a variation of the stress on a tire circumference, or a time history of the stress is extruded from a result of the deformation analysis as stress information. The durability of the chord material is evaluated on the basis of a magnitude of the stress information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】コンピュータを用いたコード材の耐久性の評価を行なう際、従来に比べて実際のタイヤのコード材の耐久性の結果に近い評価を得るシミュレーション方法及びシミュレーション装置を提供する。【解決手段】空気入りタイヤのシミュレーションを行うとき、タイヤモデルと路面モデルとを作成し、前記タイヤモデルに含まれるコード補強層モデルの少なくとも一部の要素にコード材長手方向に沿って初期引張応力を付与して、前記タイヤモデルを用いてタイヤの変形解析を行なう。この後、空気入りタイヤの耐久性を評価するコード材に対応する評価対象要素が受ける応力の値、応力のタイヤ周上の変動、あるいは、応力の時間履歴を、前記変形解析の結果から応力情報として取り出す。この応力情報の大きさによって、前記コード材の耐久性を評価する。【選択図】 図1
