PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid pressure control unit of a braking device capable of thinning a unit block and improving degree-of-freedom of layout of components when mounted on a vehicle.SOLUTION: The fluid pressure control unit of a braking device includes: a master cylinder 21 for supplying brake fluid to a brake caliper 12; a reservoir 23 for retracting the brake fluid of the brake caliper 12; a main path 40 for connecting the master cylinder 21 to the brake caliper 12 through brake piping 39; a normally opened supply side control valve 25 for controlling the flow of the brake fluid through the main path 40; a reserve path 44 branching from the main path 40, and connected to the reservoir 23; and a normally closed discharge side control valve 26 for controlling the flow through the reserve path 44. The master cylinder 21, the supply side control valve 25 and the discharge side control valve 26 are disposed in a unit block 27 so that the respective axes o1, o2, o3 are located in a virtual planar block having a thickness substantially equal to a diameter of the master cylinder 21.

    【課題】ユニットブロックを薄型化できるようにして、車両搭載時における部品レイアウトの自由度を高めることができるブレーキ装置の液圧制御ユニットを提供する。【解決手段】ブレーキキャリパ12にブレーキ液を供給するマスターシリンダ21と、ブレーキキャリパ12のブレーキ液を退避させるリザーバ23と、マスターシリンダ21をブレーキ配管39を介してブレーキキャリパ12に接続する主通路40と、主通路40のブレーキ液の流れを制御する常時開の供給側制御弁25と、主通路40から分岐しリザーバ23に接続されるリザーブ通路44と、リザーブ通路44の流れを制御する常時閉の排出側制御弁26と、を設ける。マスターシリンダ21と供給側制御弁25と排出側制御弁26とは、各軸心部o1,o2,o3がマスターシリンダ21の直径と略同厚みの仮想平板ブロック内に位置されるように、ユニットブロック27内に配置する。【選択図】図4
