PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten warming-up time in restarting an internal combustion engine for a vehicle after stopping operation for 1-2 hours.SOLUTION: A tank 17 exposed to an engine room 6 is provided in a halfway of a cooling water passage. In restarting, cooling water retained in the tank 17 is circulated to an engine body 3. The tank 17 is exposed to the engine room 6, and a temperature drop is smaller than that of the engine body 3, and therefore, the cooling water at a high temperature is supplied to the engine body 3, and early warming-up can be achieved. When a tank 17 is set to be exposed to sunlight 22 through a front grille 20, the tank 17 is actively warmed and the cooling water can be maintained in a high temperature state, which is more preferable.

    【課題】車両用内燃機関において、運転を1〜2時間停止してから再始動するに際しての暖機時間を低減させる。【解決手段】冷却水通路の途中に、エンジンルーム6に露出したタンク17を設ける。再始動に際しては、タンク17に溜まった冷却水が機関本体3を循環する。タンク17はエンジンルーム6に露出していることで機関本体3に比べて温度低下が少ないため、温度が高い冷却水を機関本体3に供給して早期暖機を実現できる。日光22がフロントグリル20を介してタンク17に当たるように設定すると、タンク17が積極的に加温されて冷却水を高温状態に維持できるため、一層好ましい。【選択図】図2
