PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for qualitatively evaluating the orientation of a tread groove bottom area, and to provide a pneumatic tire having no anisotropy in the tire circumferential and width directions in the tread groove bottom area.SOLUTION: A method for qualitatively evaluating the orientation of a tread groove bottom area includes a test piece preparation step of preparing a test piece by making an initial crack on a portion corresponding to the groove bottom of a rubber piece sampled so as to include the groove bottom of a tire tread, and a test step of performing a tear test using the test piece prepared by the test piece preparation step. Based on the anisotropy of a tear characteristic in the test piece, the orientation of the tread groove bottom area is qualitatively evaluated.

    【課題】トレッド溝底部位の配向性を定性的に評価する方法、及びトレッド溝底部位において、タイヤの周方向と幅方向での異方性を有さない空気入りタイヤを提供する。【解決手段】タイヤトレッド部の溝底を含むようにサンプリングされたゴム片の溝底に対応する部分に初期亀裂を設けることにより試験片を調製する試験片調製工程と、前記試験片調製工程により調製された試験片を用いて引き裂き試験を行う試験工程とを含み、前記試験における試験片の引き裂き特性の異方性に基づいて、トレッド溝底部位の配向性を定性的に評価する方法に関する。【選択図】なし
