PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sail control method which enables a sail thrust to be increased by considering a sail interference in a corvette having a plurality of sails.SOLUTION: A sail angle control method includes step S1 for determining a set angle for each sail by the inclination arrangement method, step S2 for simultaneously increasing and decreasing the angles of incidence of a plurality of sails by micro angles by the same amount while keeping an angle difference between determined sail set angles, step S3 for determining a rotation direction where an average value of thrusts by the plurality of sails increases when increasing and decreasing the angles of incidence to further increase and decrease the angles of incidence of the plurality of sails simultaneously by the same amount in the determined direction, and step S4 for determining an optimum set angle of each of the plurality of sails on the basis of angles of incidence where an average value of thrusts by the plurality of sails becomes maximum.
【課題】複数の帆を有する帆装船において帆の干渉を考慮して帆による推力を増大し得る帆の制御方法を提供する。【解決手段】傾斜配列法によって帆の各々について設定角を決定するステップS1と、決定された各帆の設定角の角度差を保ちながら複数の帆の迎角を同時に同量だけ微小角度増減させるステップS2と、迎角を増減させたときに複数の帆による推力の平均値が増大する回転方向を決定し、さらに決定された方向に複数の帆の迎角を同時に同量だけ増減させるステップS3と、複数の帆による推力の平均値が最大となる迎角に基づいて複数の帆の各々の最適設定角を決定するステップS4とを備える帆の角度制御方法とする。【選択図】図3
