PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle superstructure which can improve rigidity while avoiding the burning of a roof panel caused by a permeated beam of a laser at laser welding.SOLUTION: A vehicle superstructure has: roof side rails 16 which are extended along a vehicle fore-and-aft direction at both sides of a vehicle upper part 12 in a vehicle width direction; a gazette 34 which is extended to the inside of the vehicle width direction from the roof side rails 16; a first roof R/F32 in which an end part in the vehicle width direction is joined to an upper face of the gazette 34 by laser welding; a second roof R/F36 which is joined to a region in which the first roof R/F32 and the gazette 34 are overlapped on each other at the upper face of the first roof R/F32, and comprises a bulged part 36B which is bulged to a vehicle upper part in a region which covers a weld part 50 between the gazette 34 and the first roof R/F32; and a roof panel 14 which is arranged at a vehicle upper side of the second roof R/F36 with a clearance 58.
【課題】レーザ溶接時におけるレーザの透過光でルーフパネルが焼けるのを回避しつつ、剛性を向上させることができる車両上部構造を得る。【解決手段】車両上部12の車両幅方向両側に車両前後方向に沿って延在されたルーフサイドレール16と、ルーフサイドレール16から車両幅方向内側へ延出されたガセット34と、車両幅方向端部がガセット34の上面にレーザ溶接によって接合された第1ルーフR/F32と、第1ルーフR/F32の上面における第1ルーフR/F32とガセット34とが重なる部位に接合されると共に、ガセット34と第1ルーフR/F32との溶接部50を覆う部位に車両上方へ膨出された膨出部36Bを備えた第2ルーフR/F36と、第2ルーフR/F36の車両上方側に隙間58をあけて配設されたルーフパネル14と、を有する。【選択図】図4
