PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic transmission of a work machine capable of energy saving by reducing necessary power for a hydraulic pump in a hydraulic transmission of a work machine which moves load in a reduction direction.SOLUTION: A hydraulic transmission comprises: a hydraulic pump 2; its power source 1; a hydraulic actuator 4 which moves a load 7 in a reduction direction; a meter-in flow channel 10; a meter-out flow channel 20; a handling device 6 which outputs an operation signal corresponding to its operation; a meter-in contraction valve 13 which changes an aperture area corresponding to the input of an operation signal; a meter-in flow rate control valve 14 which keeps a differential pressure before and after the meter-in contraction valve 13 at the meter-in set differential pressure; a counter balance valve 25; a regeneration passage 30; and a back pressure contraction valve 23 which changes an aperture area corresponding to the operation signal. Characteristics of aperture areas of the meter-in contraction valve 13 and the back pressure contraction valve 23 to the operation signal are set so that a motor flow rate is larger than an oil tank return flow rate.

    【課題】負荷を下げ方向に移動させる作業機械の油圧駆動装置であって、油圧ポンプの必要動力を低減して省エネルギー化を図ることが可能なものを提供する。【解決手段】油圧駆動装置は、油圧ポンプ2と、その動力源1と、負荷7を下げ方向に移動させる油圧アクチュエータ4と、メータイン流路10と、メータアウト流路20と、操作に応じた操作信号を出力する操作装置6と、操作信号の入力に応じて開口面積が変化するメータイン絞り弁13と、メータイン絞り弁13の前後差圧をメータイン設定差圧に保つメータイン流量調節弁14と、カウンタバランス弁25と、再生流路30と、前記操作信号に応じて開口面積が変化する背圧用絞り弁23と、を備える。モータ流量がタンク戻り流量よりも大きくなるように、前記操作信号に対するメータイン絞り弁13及び背圧用絞り弁14の開口面積の特性が設定される。【選択図】図1
