PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grip detecting device and a threshold value setting system that suppress a difference in operational feeling and set a threshold value adjusted to a state of an operator.SOLUTION: A grip detecting device 1 is mainly constituted of: a steering angle detector which detects a steering angle θ of a steering 50 of a vehicle 5; a grip detector 10 which is disposed in the steering 50 and outputs a detection value when detecting gripping of the steering 50 by an operator; a threshold value setting section 15 which calculates steering angle acceleration of the steering angle θ and sets a threshold value from a detection value corresponding to a peak value of the steering angle acceleration satisfying a predetermined condition within a setting range 151 set in a period from operation start to operation end of the steering 50; and a determination section which compares the threshold value set by the threshold value setting section 15 with the detection value acquired from the grip detector 10 in order to determine gripping of the steering 50.

    【課題】操作感の差を抑制すると共に操作者の状態に合わせたしきい値を設定することができる把持検出装置及びしきい値設定システムを提供する。【解決手段】把持検出装置1は、車両5のステアリング50の操舵角θを検出する操舵角検出部と、ステアリング50に配置され、操作者によるステアリング50の把持を検出して検出値を出力する把持検出部10と、操舵角θの操舵角加速度を算出し、ステアリング50の操作開始から操作終了までの期間内に設定された設定範囲151において予め定められた条件を満たす操舵角加速度のピーク値に対応する検出値によりしきい値を設定するしきい値設定部15と、しきい値設定部15が設定したしきい値と把持検出部10から取得した検出値とを比較してステアリング50の把持を判定する判定部と、を備えて概略構成されている。【選択図】図1
