PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ground fault detection device for vehicle, capable of maintaining an insulation level of an aluminum electrolytic capacitor to high level, and improving long-term reliability.SOLUTION: A ground fault detection device 10 for vehicle is configured so that: a positive electrode terminal or negative electrode terminal is coupled to one end side of a coupling capacitor part 15 comprising aluminum electrolytic capacitors C1, C2, C3; a rectangular wave pulse signal is applied to a measurement point being the other end side of the coupling capacitor part; and a voltage signal generated on the measurement point is detected, for detecting ground fault of a direct current power source. When ground fault of the direct current power source is not detected, a charging/discharging part (CPU) 13 charges and discharges the coupling capacitor part.
