PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a light source unit capable of preventing displacement in adjustment positions of a laser device and a lens.SOLUTION: A light source unit 30a includes: a laser diode 11a; a collimator lens 121a; a holding member 31 holding the laser diode 11a and including a through-hole 31a through which a laser light is permeated; and a holding member 32 holding the collimator lens 121a, fixed to the holding member 31 and including a through-hole 32a through which a laser light is permeated. The holding member 31 includes a convex part 31b of a convex for which one end of the through-hole 31a is opened. The manufacturing method of the light source unit 30a includes: an inclination adjusting step of adjusting an inclination of the holding member 31 relative to the holding member 32 by bringing an outer surface of the convex part 31b into slide contact with an edge 32b of the through-hole 32a or a slope 32c provided in a peripheral part of the through-hole 32a by point-contact or line-contact; and a welding step of welding the holding member 32 and the outer surface of the convex part 31b.
