PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate the remaining life of an on-vehicle battery for other use, by using other parameters different from the internal resistance and actual discharge capacity, while taking account of the usage of the battery.SOLUTION: A remaining life estimation method has a first step for acquiring the temperature rise rate Xr of an on-vehicle battery, a second step for acquiring at least any one of the positional information of a vehicle, travel route, and usage pattern of an on-vehicle battery, a third step for associating the temperature rise rate of the on-vehicle battery until the life thereof with the temperature rise rate of a battery for other usage, and acquiring a temperature rise rate map corresponding to the information acquired in the second step, a fourth step for estimating the temperature rise rate Yr of the battery for other usage, from the temperature rise rate Xr by using the temperature rise rate map, and a fifth step for estimating the remaining life of the battery for other usage by using the temperature rise rate Yr.
【課題】車載バッテリの他の用途での余寿命を、内部抵抗値及び実放電容量とは異なる別のパラメータを用いて、かつ、バッテリの使われ方を考慮して推定することを目的とする。【解決手段】余寿命推定方法は、車載バッテリの温度上昇率Xrを取得する第1のステップ、車両の位置情報、走行ルート、車載バッテリの使用形態の少なくともいずれかを取得する第2のステップ、車載バッテリの寿命に至るまでの温度上昇率と他の用途のバッテリの寿命に至るまでの温度上昇率とが対応付けられ、かつ第2のステップにて取得する情報に対応する温度上昇率マップを取得する第3のステップ、温度上昇率マップを用いて温度上昇率Xrから他の用途のバッテリの温度上昇率Yrを推定する第4のステップ、温度上昇率Yrを用いて他の用途のバッテリの余寿命を推定する第5のステップを有する。【選択図】図1
