PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle information acquiring device capable of reducing inconvenience during operation or the like which is caused by a light emitting part for reporting a connection state with an external device.SOLUTION: A vehicle information acquiring device 200 acquires periodically vehicle information from a vehicle 300 side and transmits the vehicle information to a mobile telephone 100. It includes an LED 205, and a control part 201 which makes the LED 205 illuminate according to a connection state with the mobile telephone 100 and reduces brightness of the LED 205 if there is no change in connection state to the mobile telephone 100 during a predetermined time period.
