PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface structure of an article having water repellency.SOLUTION: A surface structure of an article having water repellency comprises a plurality of salients 10 arranged along the surface of the article and individually having longitudinal directions. The surface structure is characterized: in that salients 10 have surfaces inclined at least partially from the horizon; and in that the apexes of the salients 10 have a plurality of microspikes 12 formed transversely of the longitudinal direction so that the apexes of said salients 10 may have a plurality of microspikes 12 formed across the longitudinal direction so as to guide water droplets on the surface of said apex may not be extended in the longitudinal direction.
