PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress foreign matters contained in air drawn in an intake duct from a front opening portion from flowing downstream of the duct.SOLUTION: When a vehicle travels forward, air is drawn in a separation structure portion 3 from a front opening portion 4. The air is divided into the air passing through surroundings of a cylindrical body 8 and flowing to a connecting portion 6, the air passing through downward of the cylindrical body 8, flowing to a rear opening portion 5, and discharged to outside of an intake duct 2, and the air flowing to a blow-back passage 7 from downward of the cylindrical body 8 and blown back to the front opening portion 4. If a foreign matter contained in the air drawn in the separation structure portion 3 from the front opening portion 4 is to flow to the connecting portion 6, part of the air drawn in the separation structure portion 3 from the front opening portion 4 is blown back to the front opening portion 4 via the blow-back passage 7 as indicated by a solid arrow B, thereby changing a flow of the foreign matter toward the connecting portion 6 to the rear opening portion 5. As a result, the foreign matter contained in the air drawn in the separation structure portion 3 from the front opening portion 4 is subsequently discharged to the outside of the intake duct 2 from the rear opening portion 5.

    【課題】前方開口部から吸気ダクトに取り込まれた空気中の異物が同ダクトの下流に流れることを抑制する。【解決手段】車両の前進走行時には、前方開口部4から分離構造部3内に空気が吸入される。この空気は、筒体8の周りを通って接続部6に流れるもの、筒体8の下側を通って後方開口部5に流れて吸気ダクト2の外部に排出されるもの、筒体8の下側から吹き返し通路7に流れて前方開口部4に吹き返されるものに分かれる。前方開口部4から分離構造部3内に吸入された空気中の異物が接続部6に流れようとする際には、前方開口部4から分離構造部3内に吸入された空気の一部が吹き返し通路7を通じて実線矢印Bで示すように前方開口部4に吹き返されることにより、上記接続部6に向う異物の流れが後方開口部5に向けられる。このため、前方開口部4から分離構造部3内に吸入された空気中の異物は、その後方開口部5から吸気ダクト2外に排出される。【選択図】図4
