PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To arrange bearings compactly and improve the travel feeling in a rear wheel suspension structure of a motor cycle.SOLUTION: A rear wheel suspension structure of a motor cycle includes: a vehicle body frame F; a swing arm 12 which is swingably supported on the vehicle body frame F through a pivot shaft 21; and a drive shaft 29 which transmits a driving force to a rear wheel. In the swing arm 12, a drive shaft insertion hole 40, into which the drive shaft 29 is inserted, is formed. The pivot shaft 21 is disposed so as to overlap with the drive shaft insertion hole 40 in a side surface view. The pivot shaft 21 is provided as one side support shaft 51 and the other side support shaft 52 which are provided at left and right sides independently of each other. Thrust bearings 61 and radial bearings 62, which are disposed in an area between the swing arm 12 and the one side support shaft 51 and an area between the swing arm 12 and the other side support shaft 52, are provided in the swing arm 12.

    【課題】自動二輪車の後輪懸架構造において、軸受をコンパクトに配置でき、且つ、走行フィーリングを向上できるようにする。【解決手段】車体フレームFと、車体フレームFにピボット軸21を介して揺動可能に支持されるスイングアーム12と、後輪に駆動力を伝達するドライブシャフト29とを備え、スイングアーム12には、ドライブシャフト29が挿通されるドライブシャフト挿通孔40が形成される自動二輪車の後輪懸架構造において、側面視でピボット軸21がドライブシャフト挿通孔40と重なるように配置され、ピボット軸21は左右独立して設けられる一側支持軸51及び他側支持軸52として設けられ、スイングアーム12と一側支持軸51及び他側支持軸52との間に配置されるスラスト軸受61とラジアル軸受62とが、スイングアーム12に設けられる。【選択図】図3
