PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock releasing operation mechanism for a baby carriage, which can retain rigidity and can be easily assembled.SOLUTION: A lock releasing operation mechanism (20) for a baby carriage comprises: a push rod including a vertical bar and a handle frame (32); a pair of wires (39); a pair of lock members connected to the lower ends of the paired wires (39) and adapted to be vertically displaced by the paired wires (39); and an operation mechanism (40) having a displacement member (41) connected to the upper end of the paired wires (39) for switching the relative positional relations of the paired wires (39). The handle frame (32) includes a recessed area (33) having a recessed outer face; the recessed areas (33) are formed in the two side end parts and have through holes (35) for exposing the paired wires (39) to the outside; and the displacement member (41) is disposed in the recessed area (33).
