PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a door from being damaged by impact reaction force, which is given to the door from a rear wall side when the door closes by inertia an opening of a back door formed at a rear wall of a vehicle body.SOLUTION: A vehicle back door device is equipped with a back door 12 that closes an opening 11 of the back door at a rear wall 5 of a vehicle body 2 and lock tools 14 that lock a middle part in a lateral direction at a lower end part of the door 12 to the rear wall 5. The door 12 has inner and outer panels 18 and 19 made of resin, whose outer edge parts 18a and 19a are adhered to each other by adhesive materials 17 and formed in a hollow closed cross section structure. On left and right side parts at a lower end part of the door 12 are formed drain holes 29 respectively. Width dimensions D in a vertical direction of the adhesive materials 17 at the lower end part of the door 12 are set to be almost maximum below the lock tools 14. Edge parts of upper ends of the adhesive materials 17 are formed to gradually incline downward as approaching the drain holes 29 from below the lock tools 14.

    【課題】車体の後壁に形成されるバックドア開口をドアが慣性力で閉じるとき、ドアには後壁側から衝撃的な反力が与えられるが、反力によるドアの損傷が防止されるようにする。【解決手段】車両のバックドア装置は、車体2の後壁5のバックドア開口11を閉じるバックドア12と、ドア12の下端部における左右方向での中途部を後壁5にロックするロック具14とを備える。ドア12が、各外縁部18a,19a同士が接着材17で接着される樹脂製のインナ、アウタパネル18,19を有して中空閉断面構造となるようにする。ドア12の下端部における左右各側部に水抜き孔29をそれぞれ形成する。ドア12の下端部における接着材17の上下方向の幅寸法Dをロック具14の下方でほぼ最大となるようにする。接着材17の上端縁部を、ロック具14の下方の部分から各水抜き孔29に向かうに従いそれぞれ漸次下方に向かって傾斜するよう形成する。【選択図】図1
