PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio train control method and system which can realize low cost and high availability by allowing restricted communication failures and seamless degradation operation.SOLUTION: On-vehicle systems 1a, 1b are each equipped with a sensor observation device 11 that acquires a sensor observed value necessary to estimate an own train's train condition, an own train condition estimation device 12 that calculates an own train's train condition on the basis of an acquired sensor observed value, another train condition estimation device 15 that calculates an other train's train condition on the basis of another train's sensor observed value received from a ground device or an other on-vehicle device, and a speed control device 16 that controls an own train on the basis of a calculated own train's train condition and a calculated another train's train condition, thereby making the safety side control of the own train condition estimation device and the other train condition estimation device by estimating train conditions such as position and speed of an own train or another train both with a static model and a time series filter from sensor observed values.
