PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forming a compacted snow layer that can efficiently form the compacted snow layer having desired bulk density, desired hardness, and a desired surface state.SOLUTION: There is provided a method of forming a compacted snow layer that includes the stages of: preparing artificial snow by crushing made ice pieces; controlling a formation scheduled surface for a compacted snow layer to a predetermined temperature and humidity; pumping ice grains and spraying water on flowing-out ice grains so that the ice grains contain water; supplying the ice grains onto the formation scheduled surface for the compacted snow layer brought under the temperature and humidity control, and stacking the ice grains to a predetermined thickness; and pressing an upper surface of the stacked snow, and freezing the water to compact the snow. The method of forming the compacted snow layer includes a parameter setting stage of setting a grain size according to surface roughness that the compacted snow layer is requested to have, setting supply amounts per unit time and unit area of the ice grains according to bulk density that the compacted snow layer is requested to have, and setting a water content rate, pressing force, and a temperature and humidity in a closed space according to hardness that the compacted snow layer is requested to have so as to thereby set the parameters corresponding to desired snow quality before the compacted snow layer begins to be formed.
【課題】所望のかさ密度、所望の硬度および所望の表面状態の圧雪層を効率的に形成可能な圧雪層の形成方法を提供する。【解決手段】製氷片を破砕して人工雪を準備する段階と、圧雪層の形成予定面を所定温度かつ湿度に管理する段階と、氷粒を空気圧送し、流出する氷粒に対して水を噴霧させて含水させる段階と、温度および湿度管理された圧雪層の形成予定面に、氷粒を供給し、所定厚みにて積層させる段階と、積層した雪の上面を押圧し、水分を氷結させて雪を圧雪する段階とを有する圧雪層の形成方法であって、圧雪層に要求される表面粗さに応じて、粒径を設定し、圧雪層に要求されるかさ密度に応じて、氷粒の単位時間、単位面積当たりの供給量を設定し、圧雪層に要求される硬度に応じて、含水率、押圧力、密閉スペース内の温度および湿度を設定し、それにより、圧雪層の形成開始前に所望雪質に応じたパラメータ設定段階を有することを特徴とする圧雪層の形成方法。【選択図】図11
