PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a missile and a method of opening a parachute in which a lateral hanging rope of the parachute hardly has a possibility to be entangled with the tail unit, and a drop in a laterally hung state by the parachute can be carried out with no trouble.SOLUTION: A missile includes: a rocket body 2 having head 3 and tail 4; a parachute 10 housed in a parachute housing part 6 formed in a trunk 5 of the rocket body 2; a hanging rope 11 connecting a position 6F near to the head of the parachute housing part 6 and the parachute 10; and a lateral hanging rope 12 connecting a middle part of the hanging rope 11 and a position 6R near to the tale of the parachute housing part 6. In a state in which the missile is dropping with the parachute 10 opened, a posture conversion device 20 is provided to convert from a stage in which the rocket body 2 is vertically hung only by the hanging rope 11 along the vertical direction with the hanging rope 11 confined at a confinement point P on the rocket body 2 to a stage in which the rocket body 2 is horizontally hung in a lateral position by the hanging rope 11 and the lateral hanging rope 12 by releasing the hang rope 11 confined at the confinement point P.

    【課題】尾翼にパラシュートの横吊用索が絡まる虞がほとんどなく、パラシュートによる横吊り状態での降下を支障なく行い得る飛翔体及びパラシュートの開傘方法を提供する。【解決手段】頭部3及び尾部4を有するロケット本体2と、ロケット本体2の胴部5に形成されたパラシュート収納部6に収納されるパラシュート10と、パラシュート収納部10の頭部寄りの部位6F及びパラシュート10を連結する懸吊索11と、懸吊索11の中間部及びパラシュート収納部6の尾部寄りの部位6Rを連結する横吊用索12を備え、パラシュート10を開傘させて降下する状態において、懸吊索11をロケット本体2の拘束点Pで拘束して懸吊索11のみでロケット本体2を鉛直方向に沿って縦吊りする段階から、拘束点Pで拘束している懸吊索11を開放して懸吊索11と横吊用索12とでロケット本体2を水平に横吊りする段階へ移行させる姿勢変換装置20を備えている。【選択図】図1
