PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift operating device for a vehicle that prevents concentration of stress on a guide projection due to contact with the wall surface of a guide groove.SOLUTION: According to a shift operating device 10 for a vehicle, the internal wall surfaces of the guide grooves 26 of opposite body members 16 with a guide projection 24 between them are parallel to each other. The guide projection 24 is formed narrower toward a basal end part from a predetermined position A in the direction of the center line C of the guide projection 24 such that, from the predetermined position A to the basal end part of the guide projection 24, a line parallel to the center line C of the guide projection 24, located on the side wall surface of the leading end part of the guide projection 24, and extended toward the basal end part from the predetermined position A, and a line located on the side wall surface of the basal end part from the predetermined position A of the guide projection 24 has a predetermined angle α. Therefore, firm contact between the side wall surface of the basal end part of the guide projection 24 and the internal wall surface of the guide groove 26 opposite it is inhibited, thus preventing concentration of stress on the guide projection 24.
【課題】案内溝の壁面との接触により案内突起に応力が集中することを防止する車両用シフト操作装置を提供する。【解決手段】車両用シフト操作装置10によれば、案内突起24を挟んで相対向する本体部材16の案内溝26の内壁面は相互に平行であり、案内突起24の中心線C方向の所定位置Aから案内突起24の基端部までにおいては、案内突起24の中心線Cと平行な線であって、案内突起24の先端部の側壁面上の線を所定位置Aから基端部側へ延長した線と、案内突起24の所定位置Aより基端部側の側壁面上の線とが成す角度が所定角度αとなるように、案内突起24は所定位置Aから基端部へ近づくほど小さい幅寸法に形成されているため、案内突起24の基端部の側壁面とそれに対向する案内溝26の内壁面との強い接触が抑止され、案内突起24に対して応力が集中することが防止される。【選択図】図6
