PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a main rope vibration stopping device for an elevator capable of surely preventing vibration of a main rope with a simple structure, and capable of performing installation work easily.SOLUTION: A main rope vibration stopping device is configured by including: a car side vibration stopping body 6 for suppressing vibration of a main rope 4 generating on a car 2 side with a traction sheave 5 around which the main rope 4 is wound being a reference; a weight side vibration stopping body 7 for suppressing vibration of the main rope 4 generating on a balance weight 3 side with the traction sheave 5 being a reference; a connection rope 8 for connecting these vibration stopping bodies 6, 7; and a sheave 9 for a vibration stopping body around which the connection rope 8 is wound. Weight of the vibration stopping body 7 is larger than total weight of the vibration stopping body 6 and the rope 8, and the vibration stopping bodies 6, 7 ascend/descend in a hoistway 1 without the car 2 coming into contact with the vibration stopping body 6. In an interference state where the vibration stopping body 7 interferes with the balance weight 3 when the balance weight 3 ascends, the vibration stopping body 7 is pushed up and the location of the vibration stopping body 6 is lowered.

    【課題】簡単な構造で主ロープの振れを確実に防止できると共に、据付作業を容易に行うことができるエレベータ用主ロープ振れ止め装置を提供する。【解決手段】この主ロープ振れ止め装置は、主ロープ4が巻き掛けられた駆動綱車5を基準に乗りかご2側に発生する主ロープ4の振れを抑えるかご側振れ止め体6と、駆動綱車5を基準に釣合い重り3側に発生する主ロープ4の振れを抑える重り側振れ止め体7と、これらの振れ止め体6、7を接続する接続ロープ8と、接続ロープ8が巻き掛けられた振れ止め体用綱車9と、を備えて構成され、振れ止め体7の重量が振れ止め体6及びロープ8の総重量よりも大きくなっており、乗りかご2と振れ止め体6とが接触せずに振れ止め体6、7が昇降路1内を昇降する。釣合い重り3が上昇する際に振れ止め体7と釣合い重り3とが干渉する干渉状態では、振れ止め体7が押し上げられて振れ止め体6の位置を下降させる。【選択図】図1
