PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute an application of a portable information terminal by allowing the information terminal to be correctly coordinated with an on-vehicle device at appropriate timing.SOLUTION: In an on-vehicle information system, a portable terminal 2 determines whether short-range radio communication as the first communication is established with an on-vehicle device 1 by the processing of a control unit 20, and also determines whether image and voice communication as the second communication is established. When the portable terminal determines that the first communication has been established and also the second communication has been established as a result, a launcher function for executing an application stored in a memory unit 24 in the foreground is started by starting a sub-application Ma.

    【課題】携帯型の情報端末と車載装置を適切なタイミングで正しく連携させて情報端末のアプリケーションを実行する。【解決手段】車載情報システムにおいて、携帯端末2は、制御部20の処理により、車載装置1との間で、第1の通信としての近距離無線通信が確立したか否かを判断すると共に、第2の通信としての映像および音声の通信が確立したか否かを判断する。その結果、第1の通信が確立したと判断し、かつ第2の通信が確立したと判断した場合に、サブアプリケーションMaを起動することで、メモリ部24に記憶されているアプリケーションをフォアグランドで実行するためのランチャ機能を起動する。【選択図】図2
