PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a truss for a passenger conveyor which can return to an original position when a compressive load is removed, while preventing buckling of a structural member.SOLUTION: A truss for a passenger conveyor comprises a plurality of beam materials including an upper beam 2, a lower beam 3, an oblique beam 5 and a jamb 4. At least one of reference beam materials is made to be a double structure comprising a hollow material 7 and an insertion rod 8 which are slidable. The reference beam material includes a compression spring 9 when receiving an axial force in a compression direction at normal load time, and includes a stopper 10 when receiving an axial force in a tensile direction. A related beam material having the jamb common to the reference beam material also includes the compression spring or the stopper in the same manner. Both ends of the upper beam and the lower beam include fixing parts respectively, and both ends of the oblique beam include rotation support parts.
