PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing device and a processing method in the information processing device, capable of preventing deterioration caused by full charge of a secondary battery of a portable communication terminal.SOLUTION: An information processing device which performs communication with a portable communication terminal and charging power supply to the portable communication terminal, via a wired line, comprises: battery residual quantity information acquisition (S15) means for acquiring a battery residual quantity of a secondary battery from the portable communication terminal; battery residual quantity determination (S16) means for comparing a value of the battery residual quantity with an upper limit value or a lower limit value and performing determination; and wired line energization control means energizing or blocking the wired line. In a case where the battery residual quantity determination means has determined that a value of the battery residual quantity is equal to or more than the upper limit value, the wired line energization control means blocks the energization of the wired line (S19). In a case where the battery residual quantity determination means has determined that a value of the battery residual quantity is less than the upper limit value, the wired line energization control means makes the wired line be in an energization state (S17), and the battery residual quantity information acquisition means acquires the battery residual quantity information after a lapse of a predetermined time period, and the battery residual quantity determination means compares the value of the battery residual quantity with the upper limit value and performs determination.
