PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smart control capable of controlling periodical collation to stop more appropriate timing than ever before.SOLUTION: In receiving an answer signal transmitted from a portable device, the on-vehicle device determines whether transmission of the answer signal from the portable device should be suppressed (step 140, 145). The on-vehicle device reduces electric current for transmitting a request signal on the basis of the determination to suppress the transmission so that the portable device cannot receive the request signal while continuing repeated transmission of the request signal (step 150, 155, 160).

    【課題】本発明は上記点に鑑み、スマート制御において、定期照合の停止タイミングを従来よりも適切に制御する。【解決手段】携帯機から送信されるアンサー信号を受信しているときに、携帯機によるアンサー信号の送信を抑制するか否かを判定し(ステップ140、145)、抑制すると判定したことに基づいて、リクエスト信号を携帯機が受信できなくなるよう、リクエスト信号を送信するための電流を低減させると共に、リクエスト信号の繰り返し送信を継続させる(ステップ150、155、160)。【選択図】図2
