PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a master cylinder assembly which constantly and properly maintains a push rod while reducing the weight of a piston, and can obtain a proper abutment state between the piston and the push rod in a retreat position of the piston.SOLUTION: A cylindrical hollow part 30 having a closed face 30a at a front end and opened at a rear end is formed at rear part of a piston 3B, an engagement recess 31 is formed at the closed face 30a, and a swelling part 33 which contacts with an internal peripheral face of the hollow part 30, and regulates the radial movement of a push rod 4 in the hollow part 30 is arranged at the push rod 4.
