PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contribute to stabilization of development behavior of an airbag for pedestrian protection without affecting appearance design of a vehicle.SOLUTION: In a structure 10, an airbag case 36 is mounted on a hood 16 along a lower surface of an inclined part 24B of a hood inner panel 24 at a vehicle rear side of a skeleton part 28 formed at a rear end side of the hood 16. In the hood 16, at the vehicle rear side of the skeleton part 28, the inclined part 24B is inclined obliquely upward of the vehicle rear side, and a thickness dimension of a closed cross section 26 between the inclined part 24B and a hood outer panel 22 decreases toward the vehicle rear side. Therefore, a development direction of an airbag 38 expanding and developing to the vehicle rear side from the airbag case 36 mounted on the hood 16 along the inclined part 24B can be inclined even more obliquely upward. Thereby, an angle difference between the development direction of the airbag 38 and the inclination direction of a windshield glass 18 can be reduced.
【課題】車両の外観意匠に影響を及ぼさずに、歩行者保護用のエアバッグの展開挙動の安定化に寄与する。【解決手段】本構造10では、エアバッグケース36が、フード16の後端側に形成された骨格部28の車両後方でフードインナパネル24の傾斜部24Bの下面に沿ってフード16に取り付けられている。このフード16では、骨格部28の車両後方側において、上記の傾斜部24Bが車両後方斜め上向きに傾斜しており、該傾斜部24Bとフードアウタパネル22との間の閉断面26の厚さ寸法が車両後方へ向かうほど減少している。このため、傾斜部24Bに沿ってフード16に取り付けられたエアバッグケース36から車両後方側へ膨張展開するエアバッグ38の展開方向を、より斜め上向きに傾斜させることができる。それにより、エアバッグ38の展開方向とウインドシールドガラス18の傾斜方向との角度差を小さくすることができる。【選択図】図1
