PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intervehicle distance control device capable of realizing deceleration behavior of a vehicle which suits a feeling of a driver.SOLUTION: A correction part corrects a set target jerk based on actual vehicle-vehicle distance and target intervehicle distance. The correction part, when cutting-in event of a preceding vehicle or a switching event of target intervehicle distance occurs, based on a relative speed of a preceding vehicle to an own vehicle, a speed of the own vehicle, and an intervehicle distance, calculates collision risk degree which a driver feels (S130). Further, as the collision risk degree becomes lower, a relax time Tx is set to be a longer value (S140). After that, a limit value JL of a target jerk is gradually changed from an initial value zero up to a standard value JL0 taking a time Tx (S160). Thus, as the collision risk degree is lower, the limit value JL is changed up to the standard value JL0 at a gentle inclination. For a target jerk other than a tolerable range that is specified by the limit value JL, it is corrected to be the limit value JL, and a target jerk after correction is outputted (S170). An acceleration control is performed according to the target jerk.

    【課題】運転者の感覚に適合した車両の減速挙動を実現可能な車間制御装置を提供する。【解決手段】補正部は、実車間距離及び目標車間距離に基づき設定された目標躍度を補正する。補正部は、先行車両の割込事象又は目標車間距離の切替事象が生じると、先行車両の自車両に対する相対速度、自車両の速度及び車間距離に基づき、運転者が感じる衝突危険度を算出する(S130)。更に、衝突危険度が低い程、緩和時間Txを長い値に設定する(S140)。その後、目標躍度の制限値JLを、初期値ゼロから時間Txをかけて標準値JL0まで徐々に変更することで(S160)、衝突危険度が低い程、緩やかな傾斜で制限値JLを標準値JL0まで変更する。そして、制限値JLにより規定される許容範囲外の目標躍度については、これを制限値JLに補正して、補正後の目標躍度を出力する(S170)。加速度制御は、この目標躍度に従って実行される。【選択図】図3
