PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint-shaft coupling structure capable of improving the steering feeling of a steering wheel by reducing backlash in the rotating direction between a coupling cylinder part and a shaft.SOLUTION: In an inner peripheral face 71 of a coupling cylinder part 7, a key groove 77 is formed as an engaging portion. The key groove 77 is formed at a phase different by 180 degrees from that of a slit 72. On an outer peripheral face of a shaft 8, a key 85 is formed as an engaged portion to be engaged with the key groove 77. When a great rotating torque works between the coupling cylinder part 7 and the shaft 8, a force is given from the key 85 to the key groove 77. No rotating torque works on the slit 72 when a fastening force of a bolt 74 is small, and so no backlash occurs between the key 85 and the key groove 77. Thus, there is no event that a rigidity in the rotating direction between the coupling cylinder part 7 and the shaft 8 lowers and the steering feeling of the steering wheel may lower.

    【課題】結合筒部と軸との間の回転方向のガタを小さくして、ステアリングホイールの操舵感を向上させることを可能にした継手と軸の結合構造を提供する。【解決手段】結合筒部7の内周面71には、係合部としてのキー溝77が形成されている。キー溝77は、スリット72に対して180度異なる位相に形成されている。軸8の外周面には、キー溝77に係合する被係合部としてのキー85が形成されている。結合筒部7と軸8との間に大きな回転トルクが作用すると、キー85からキー溝77に力が加わる。ボルト74の締付け力が小さくてもスリット72には回転トルクは作用しないため、キー85とキー溝77との間にはガタが生じず、結合筒部7と軸8との間の回転方向の剛性は低下せず、ステアリングホイールの操舵感が低下する恐れはない。【選択図】図2
