PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuously variable transmission which can improve fuel efficiency.SOLUTION: A wheel drive unit comprises: an output shaft 33 arranged in parallel with an input shaft 31 which is rotationally driven by a motor 20; a plurality of disc plates (32, 34) which are fixed to the input shaft 31 and the output shaft 33, respectively, and arranged so as to be superimposed on each other between the input shaft 31 and the output shaft 33; and a pressing mechanism 35 which transmits rotation to the output shaft 33 from the input shaft 31 by pressing a plurality of the disc plates to each other in a superimposing region in which a plurality of the disc plates are superimposed on each other. The wheel drive unit also comprises a friction drive transmission 30 which can gear-change the rotation transmitted to the output shaft 33 from the input shaft 31 by the movement of the pressing mechanism 35 to radial directions of a plurality of the disc plates in the superimposing region, and an inner tooth gear 14 which is arranged at an end part side of the wheel 10 in a rotation axial direction at the inside of the wheel 10, engaged with an outer tooth output gear 33a arranged at the output shaft 33, and transmits the rotation of the output shaft to the wheel 10.

    【課題】燃費効率を向上できる無段変速機を提供する。【解決手段】モータ20に回転駆動される入力軸31と平行に配置された出力軸33と、入力軸31及び出力軸33にそれぞれ固定され、入力軸31及び出力軸33の間において互いに重合するように配設された複数の円板(32、34)と、複数の円板が重合する重合領域において複数の円板を互いに押し付けることで入力軸31から出力軸33へと回転を伝達する押付機構35とを備え、押付機構35が重合領域において複数の円板の半径方向に移動することで入力軸31から出力軸33へと伝達する回転を変速可能とする摩擦駆動変速機30と、ホイール10の内方でホイール10の回転軸方向端部側に配置され、出力軸33に備えられる外歯出力ギヤ33aに噛合して出力軸の回転をホイール10に伝達する内歯ギヤ14と、を備える。【選択図】図2
