PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crane operation monitoring system and a method, by which at least one of a rotation angle and an undulation angle of a gib of a crane can be detected with a good accuracy, at a low cost.SOLUTION: A crane operation monitoring system includes: plural markers m0 to m5 so provided on a stage 4 of a crane 1 that the markers have a predetermined positional relationship with respect to a rotation center of a gib 2 and have a predetermined positional relationship with one another; a camera 12 which is provided at a position separated from the rotation center of the gib 2 by a predetermined distance and photographs the rotation center and the markers m0 to m5; and a personal computer 30 which extracts and identifies at least one of the markers m0 to m5 from an image photographed by the camera 12, determines a positional relationship among the identified marker m0 to m5, the rotation center, and the camera 12, and calculates at least one of a rotation angle and an undulation angle of the gib on the basis of the determined positional relationship.

    【課題】クレーンのジブの旋回角度及び起伏角度の少なくとも一方を精度よく検出できるクレーンの動作監視システム及び方法を低コストで提供する。【解決手段】クレーン1のステージ4にジブ2の旋回中心に対して所定の位置関係になると共に相互が所定の位置関係になるように設置された複数のマーカm0〜m5と、ジブ2における旋回中心から所定の距離の位置に設置されて旋回中心とマーカm0〜m5とを撮影するカメラ12と、カメラ12で撮影された画像からマーカm0〜m5の少なくとも一を抽出して識別し、識別されたマーカm0〜m5と旋回中心とカメラ12との位置関係を求め、求めた位置関係に基づいて前記ジブの旋回角度及び起伏角度の少なくとも一方を算出するパソコン30とを備える。【選択図】図1
