A drone launch system, suitable for fitting to a vehicle or building roof cutout, has a rectangular installation base 7 with a central hole 10, allowing the passage of a circular launch plate (fig.4;19). In use, an operator places a drone on top of the launch plate and inserts it into the system using bottom handle 21, attaching it to the walls of a corresponding central hole in a rectangular lift pad (fig.4;28). The lift pad lays on top of the installation base, with a bottom lip (fig.13;31) around the hole fitting into the installation base hole, guiding as it lowers, allowing the launch plate to pass through the installation base for attachment to the lift pad moved by a scissor lift. The installation base has doors 1,2,4,5 triggered by supports on the lift pad; electronic and ferromagnetic components, located at outer edges, minimising drone GPS interference. The lift pad is one-third of the landing area, and houses lights (fig.4;35-38,40,41). Anchors (fig17.;43,51) hold the drone in position on the launch plate.
