A filler or noodle 35 is disclosed, for insertion between a first laminate composite / front spar 24 having a corner radius curve 24a, and a second composite part151, prior to joining together at an interface . Filler 35 is an elongate section having a base side 36, a first side 37 extending normal to base side 36, and a second side 38 that is concave with a radius curve 38a and there along to substantially match a convex outer surface of first laminate composite part 24. Curve 38a extends towards a first apex 39 with first side 37. A second apex 40 between base side 36 and second side 38 is formed in a chamfer 41 or bullnose profile between the radius curve 38a of second side 38 and base side, 36. The internal angle of the chamfer 41 is between 20 and 50 degrees. Variation between this range may cause undesirable undulation of corners, and associated performance issues. The profile filler 35 is intended to enable control of ply deviation and thereby maintain structural performance whilst accepting the presence of any deviations (within the boundaries allowed). The conventional use and removal of permanent fillers is avoided as are the impacts experienced by such removal, such as weakening of the associated structure. An associated joint and method of joining is also disclosed.
