A mower deck height of cut adjustment mechanism 102 includes a shaft 126 having a caster wheel mounted to the shaft e.g., via a yoke, and a screw 124 rotatably threaded to the shaft to move the shaft vertically relative to an inner cylinder 112 to adjust a mower deck height of cut. The inner cylinder is pivotable on a vertical axis within an outer cylinder 110 to allow caster swivel. The screw may be rotated by a power tool or via a disc-like handle 122. A removable locking plate 120 may sit on top of the handle and has downwardly extending pins 121 that pass through holes 134 in the handle and engage holes 138 in the inner cylinder to lock the screw to the inner cylinder to disable adjustment of the mower deck height of cut. The handle and locking plate may be covered by a cap 118. Improves operator visibility to the cutting edge of the mower deck and/or wing deck, improves reliability and serviceability, is light weight, and has low cost and low part count.
