A wing assembly (fig.2,200) for an aircraft has a wing 210 and multiple linear actuators 530,540 configured to move a wing tip device. The linear actuators may be mounted within the wing assembly to connect the wing and the wing tip, and drive the movement of the wing tip relative to the wing between flight and ground configurations, to reduce the aircraft span on the ground. The wing assembly may be suitable for large passenger or cargo aircraft, where the wing tip pivots about a hinge extending in the upper wing cover, with the linear actuators located near the lower wing covers. A first part of each actuator may be mounted to a respective spanwise extending structural beam, such as a spar 220,230, of the wing or the wing tip, with a second part connected to respective pivot mounts 535 on the wing tip or wing.
