A wing structure 301 for supporting a wing tip device 302 has a second span 311 with a uniform depth D3 located outward of a first span 310 that gradually reduces in depth in a spanwise outward direction. The first span may have a chord that gradually reduces in the spanwise outward direction, and the second span may have a uniform chord. The second span may have a first spar (fig.5,521) extending spanwise, parallel to an aft second spar (fig.5,522), the spars may be continuations of convergent spars in the first portion. Preferably an outboard end 303 of the second span has a latch near to upper and/or lower wing covers transmitting flight loads between structural wing components and the wing tip device. The wing tip device may be moved by linear actuators on the spars between a flight configuration, and a ground configuration reducing the aircraft span. Also claimed is a tapered swept wing structure extends between a root and a tip with a non-tapered portion 311, the tip adapted to support a wing tip device 302.
