A distributed electric vehicle charging system infrastructure element is disclosed. This is in the form of a kerb (or curb) and comprises a modular edging segment and a hollow cabling conduit adapted to accommodate a charging feed. The hollow cabling conduit is housed within a portion of the modular edging segment. The hollow cabling conduit comprises an aperture adapted to: receive a post supporting a charging module in the distributed electric vehicle charging system; and to form an exit point for a charging feed from the hollow cabling conduit to the charging module. A method of installing such an infrastructure element is also disclosed.
