A spacetime altering experimentation rig to test validity of a warp-drive hypothesis or theory, comprising accelerating means for inducing mass-independent and charge-independent acceleration for gravitational field vector addition and spacetime curvature alteration, and gravitational-well escape-velocity attainment. The space-time manipulation is affected by at least one time-varying electromagnetic generator for remotely accelerating magnetised astrophysical plasma, or a rapidly-moving condensed-matter object, to scatter the contents of a medium from the object’s wake. The rig comprises directing means such that mass-energy may be distributed, moved, accelerated, jerked, jolted, or undergo higher relocative derivatives with respect to time so as to observe, verify, or exploit any movement or relocation of space-time local to the region of interest, with respect to space-time distant from the mentioned region. Optionally, the accelerating and/or directing means are provided by an electromagnet, or electrical current-carrying conduit or element that is energised in astrophysical plasma. An alternative claimed rig comprises accelerating means for inducing the time-varying vector product of the electric field and magnetic flux density or “E” “cross” “B” associated drift velocity for gravitational-field vector addition, spacetime-curvature alteration, and gravitational-well escape-velocity attainment. Another alternative claimed rig comprises accelerating means equivalent to spacetime-curving and attaining gravitational-well escape-velocity.
