Preventing high-speed flow against the nose-bottom equipment and the nose bogie significantly reduces the generation of aerodynamic drag and noise. However, when a deflector is present, it cannot generally be covered. According to the present invention, a leading car with a deflector comprises a nose-bottom cover consists of a front component and a rear component. The front component is placed upstream of the deflector so as to cover the nose bottom equipment therein located and features a shape that deviates the high-speed flow from the deflector itself. The rear component is placed between the deflector and the nose bogie and deviates the high-speed flow from the bogie cavity. Consequently, aerodynamic drag and aerodynamic noise can be diminished without hindering the movement of the deflector, which bobs vertically and oscillates back and forth with respect to the car body.
