A motorcycle fairing down force device 3 comprising a tube with an inlet passage 6, outlet passage 7 and a bend 8, which when fitted to a motorcycle varies down force at different speeds to maintain optimal contact between the front 9 or rear 10 wheel tyre and the road or ground 11. The air enters the tubes inlet chamber ideally at an angle of 180 degrees or horizontally at standstill or constant velocity, and under acceleration or deceleration air is forced to accelerate vertically around the bend, ideally at 90 degrees, and out of the outlet. The angle between the inlet and outlet is variable dependent on acceleration and braking loads. The device may also comprise a valve (25, Fig 5) which adjusts the flow of air to produce a variable air flow and adjust down force as desired.
