A host vehicle 200 includes: motor(s) (Figure 1, 103), sensors (Figure 1, 102), processor(s) (Figure 1, 108) configured to: (a) iterate a series of future properties, comprising future positions 200b, 200c, of nearby first 201 and second vehicles 202 based on determined current properties thereof; (b) associate a blindspot with an iterated future position of the second vehicle 251b 252b; (c) determine whether a future position of the first vehicle occupies the blindspot; (d) if so, transmit a message to the second vehicle including a message activation time. The host vehicle may also be able to adjust a dimension of the blindspot based on a future property of the first or second vehicle. The activation time may be based on a future time when the first vehicle is predicted to occupy the blindspot and may further have a predetermined amount of time subtracted from the predicted time of arrival in the blind spot. The amount of time subtracted, may also be based on the speed of the first vehicle.
