A method of securing a fixture to a vehicle floor 40, the fixture 21 comprises a track 26 for receiving and securing a seat support, and a base (22, figure 3) with a surface (23) arranged to engage the vehicle floor. The base surface (23) has an opening (29) into a channel (28), (70, figure 7) formed in the base. The channel has a recess or undercutting volume (60, figure 6) which undercuts a portion of the base. The method comprises: applying adhesive 41 to at least one of the floor of the vehicle and the fixture, pressing the fixture 21 against the vehicle floor 40, and allowing the adhesive to cure securing the fixture to the vehicle floor, wherein some of the adhesive flows into the undercutting volume (60) before it cures. The adhesive may comprise a silane modified polymer. The undercutting volume may have a local maximum at a point spaced from the contact surface. The channel may have a cross section of an arrow head shape (28, figure 3) or a fishtail (70, figure 7). The adhesive may secure the fixture without the need for further mechanical fixings.
