A chock assembly for a vehicle test rig comprises a wheel chock 213 for restraining a vehicles wheel, the chock coupled to a guide member 211. The assembly further comprises a securing member 215 configured to secure the guide member to the vehicle test rig e.g., to a rail or track 107 along which the chock assembly can slide. The guide member is slidably coupled to the securing member, such that it can move in a direction perpendicular to the centreline of the vehicle test rig e.g., towards and away from a rail of the test rig. The chock itself may also move relative to the guide member in the same direction, and the assembly may slide in a direction perpendicular to this (along the rail). In this way, the chock can be positioned for vehicles of differing wheel bases and track width, and the guide member may be moved to avoid obstacles along the rail of the test rig.
