An A-pillar grab handle attachment bracket 100 comprising a first 102 and second 104 flanges which may have stiffening features 112, 114, 116 such as corrugations which may or may not align with those on a body portion 106 positioned between them, the flanges or body defining, at least partly, a normally U-shaped channel 107 for receiving a side airbag 16. The strengthening members may project perpendicularly from the planes, which may not be parallel, defined by the first and second flanges, and may act to prevent deflection of the flanges relative to each other. The bracket may be made from a material with a greater stiffness than that of the A-pillar. The flange connecting the bracket to the pillar may have three or more apertures 110 through which fasteners 20 are used to attach to the pillar and the body may have a hole 111 to facilitate reaching these apertures. An assembly including the attachment bracket may also include the A-pillar, grab handle, side airbag 16, or a reinforcement member 200 which may comprise tabs 202 which may be held in recesses 22 on the A-pillar or apertures. A vehicle may comprise the attachment bracket, assembly or reinforcement member.
