An obstacle warning system contains: a control module 10, a sensing module 20, and a warning module 30. The control module 10 includes a controlling unit 11 electrically connected with a power control system 51 of a vehicle. The sensing module 20 includes a plurality of sense units 21 for measuring a distance from an obstacle outside the vehicle and at least one series connecting wire (fig 2: 22) electrically connected with the controlling unit 11, wherein each series connecting wire has a first port (fig 2: 221), a second port (fig 2: 222), and plural third ports (fig 2: 223). The warning module 30 includes: a plurality of first alert units 31 electrically connected with and controlled by the controlling unit 11 to make a first warning signal and includes a second alert unit 32 electrically coupled with and controlled by the controlling unit 11 to make a second warning signal. There may also by imaging units incorporated (fig 9). The purpose of the invention is to the monitor blind spots of a long vehicle, in particular to protect cyclists or pedestrians that may be in the blind spot.
